This issue seems to feature death! Hmm. Hadn’t really planned it that way, but the stories in this issue share a common theme. See if you can see the connection as you read this month’s selection of stories.
While you think about that, also note that we’re featuring two new-to-these-pages writers in this issue: Kristen Davis’ spiritual vampire thriller, “This is My Blood,” and Alexandra Seidel’s speculative experimental piece, “Casey’s Hope.” Both stories are a bit different than what we normally publish here at ResAliens. But hey, if we can’t push the boundaries a bit, why publish? You’ve come to expect quality spec fiction with a spiritual element, and we’ll deliver no matter the speculative subgenre it happens to fall under.
The three other stories are by returning authors. Jason Barney’s gentle morality tale arrives via visitors from space in, “Perched Above a Beautiful Sphere.” Walter G. Esselman gives us another Dragonson vignette with a whimsical werewolf tale in, “Fur Flying.” And rounding out the issue is veteran story teller Stoney M. Setzer who gives us another spiritual thriller featuring the Watchman in, “The Widows Greer.”
As always, I hope you enjoy this month’s issue and please feel free to leave a comment. New writers and returning authors love to hear from their fans.
Your Fellow Alien, Lyn
